Biography
Leander (as he was known) and family lived at White Plains, Benton Co.,AL and served as County Surveyor and noted for his beautiful flourishingpenmanship. He later bought land on the Coosa River near Ohalchee andbuilt a new home. Prior to completion of the new home the old one inWhite Plains burned and the family was forced to move into theuncompleted new home without furniture and slept on the floor until somecould be built.
