BIOGRAPHY: On April 15 1850, he and five others including his son Horacetook an ox team by the "Overland Route" to California. They arrivedSeptember 19, 1850. The party separated but he and Horace stayedtogether. He soon became sick from the journey and died. ("An ExcellentCitizen Gone")
