BIOGRAPHY: Was the first male white child born in Bristol, NY. In 1852,with his family of five and accompanied by his father and others went incovered wagons to Chicago; at this time there was but one frame house intown; finding the Black Hawk war going on they staid a few weeks at FortFearborn and later settled at Gooding''s Grove about thirty miles SW ofChicago.
