Notes from Debbie Harrison:
In January 2000, I asked some family members to write down what they canremember about Mary Wilson Rubin...
Marilyn Marshall Lemman- Mary was taller than her siblings, about 5''7"and slender. Dark hair, probably brown. Intelligent, very friendly andoutgoing. Had worked for Senator Borah in Washington DC for many years. The genealogist of her generation. Died at about 87 of natural causes. Nochildren. Was married for a very short time. (I asked them for lifestylehabits like smoking and drinking) May have been a secretive alcoholic aswine bottles were found around her house
after her death.
Jean Marshall Irvine-gave information to her sister, Marilyn but addedthat Mary was an intelligent, well travelled woman who was ahead of hertime.
Donald Marshall- Nice lady, a sister of Harriet. Kind of tall andslender. Intelligent..worked in Washington DC for a Senator. Died whenshe was in her 80''s.
Debbie- I only have one memory of visiting Mary that I can remember. Shehad books and magazines spread all over her parlor, including a coverstory on the Beatles. I remember how interested she was in what washappening in the world. Most of her genealogical information was passeddown to me...even in those early days she would interview her relativesand put that date that she did it. I wish I had known her better.
