Virgil Close, in his book, "The Delashmutt Story" cites the SwedishLutheran church at Racoon Creek where in 1721 a Peter La Shamet is listedas doing a day''s work here and there on the fences and the eaves. Thebook suggests this might refer to a son of Pierre; also this Peter LaShamet gave 10 shillings for the pastor''s salary in May 1728.
