Catherine Robinson (ca 1765 - ), according to a family tradition, was thesecond wife of Thomas McMurry. The same tradition says that she was animmigrant and that she became separated from her family while coming toAmerica. She was taken by an emigrant society, and later "bound out" tolearn the art of weaving. The itemization of Thomas McMurry''s estateconfirms the fact that she was a weaver. When her husband, Thomas died,Catherine received her one-third of his land (about 52 acres) including"the house part of the orchard where the widow now lives". She was alsoallotted "one Negro man named Dave, age about 32 years, of the value of$450". She later married Laverne or Loreth Jones.
