"Mary Paull the Daughter of Jon Richmond of Newport Senr. being examinedconfessith that she was with chyld by Richard Canterbury before she wasmarried: Whereupon John Richmond and the sayd Mary are bound in a bondfour pounds the the said Mary shall make her lawful apearance by her selfor her Aturny at the next Gen. Court of Tryalls held at Warwick there toabide the determination for fornication." (Richmond Family records V1,p62)
